The Young Victoria
The history books tell us that she was the ruler of the United Kingdom of Great Britain from 1837 to 1901. Her time in power was the longest of any ruler in British history and came to be known as the Victorian Era. With this, we immediately conjure up all those images of a frumpy over-weight woman dressed in black; but soon, the upcoming motion picture, "The Young Victoria", will present a different view of this dynamic British monarch. "The Young Victoria" will chronicle the early and often turbulent years, of a young girl who became queen of Great Britain. Victoria was a young girl of barely 18 when she was crowned, vivacious, fond of parties, and prone to flirting with the gentlemen of the court, and even her ministers. The film will focus on her storied romance and legendary marriage to Prince Albert. Martin Scorsese [American] and Graham King [British] have teamed-up again [The Departed, The Aviator and Gangs of New York] to retell the story of this famous queen with a little help from the outspoken Duchess of York, Sarah Ferguson. Graham King told Variety Magazine, "We all think we know Queen Victoria from the latter part of her life, but in fact she was an amazing, dynamic, romantic personality from a very early age that is largely unknown. I had been searching for a British project for many years so I am just thrilled to bring her story to life." Although no names have signed yet, "The Young Victoria" will be a prestige production with a big-budget and big stars. Scorsese will co-produce.

Crown Princess Victoria adopted orangutans

Today Crown Princess Victoria received representatives from the organisation Borneo Urangutan Survival Sweden (BOS) to accept the adoption of an urangutan and at the same time give highlight to the urgent need to save the rainforest, the natural habitat of unique animals like the urangutans.
Also the climate changes have readical effects on the biodiversity of these areas and as a result many species are disappearing. Another threat is the massive shoveling of the rainforests as a result of companies wanting to get to the palm oil, in our day when many see news kinds of fuels as a positive thing not all are aware of the palm oil diesel that is produced on the expense of the nature.
Victoria's urangutan, Kesi, was rescued at the age of five months when her mother had been killed by poachers, leaving the little one all on its own trying to escape and ending up loosing one hand.
— A great variety of species is disappearing forever as a result of the extreme ravaging of the tropical rainforest. The orangutan is only the tip of the iceberg but many species have already been lost and thousands of others will be lost unless this negative trend is stopped, says National Geographic attached photographer Mattias Klum.

Wedding of Sophie de Geer & Marcus Josefsson

With the coloured leaves falling to the ground and a brisk autumn air filling the athmosphere, Sophie de Geer and Marcus Josefsson had chosen the last Saturday of September 2007 as their wedding date.
The ceremony was held in the small Eds church near the bride's family's estate, Stora Wäsby, in Upplands Väsby Municipality outside Stockholm at 4 o'clock in the afternoon. Sophie, daughter of Baron Carl and Baroness Christina de Geer, has been seen alongside Marcus for some time now and earlier this year she saw her brother Baron Jacob walk down the aisle together with Nicole Kreuger.
Crown Princess Victoria and her boyfriend Daniel attended the wedding just as they've done for previous de Geer weddings, the bride's parents are close friends of the King and Queen and the bride Sophie and her sister Lovisa are great friends of the royal children. The Crown Princess was dressed in a new blue dress and a short fur jacket plus her signature mark, the ponytail (!).
